Project SAVE - Community Outreach Program

"Children can become all they aspire to be, when the educator teaches, models, empowers, and intervenes with their success in mind."

Project SAVE focuses on the academic and social needs of children. We provide direct services to individuals and educational organizations to address specific needs of both the student and the teacher. Project SAVE reaches out to youth in their communities and serve as a substance abuse, teaching, counseling, and resource center.

According to the Texas Education Agency, 87.3% of students attending Dallas County Schools are economically disadvantaged and 67.2% are at -risk.  While these numbers represent an increase from previous years.  The impact of these numbers has had an increasingly negative effect on our community.

Project SAVE is embarking on a community-wide effort to ensure that young people are equipped with the necessary skills that will enable them to become self-sufficient in the 21st Century.  Our certified and professional staff are committed to providing academic enrichment, intervention, and counseling services to positively impact the lives of youth in the community.

Let today be the first day of the rest of your life.
Yesterday does not determine your tomorrow!

PROJECT SAVE MISSION STATEMENT

Project SAVE is committed to providing a holistic program, which supports students as they face real world issues. Project SAVE understands that active participation correlates heavily with continued achievement and the long-term effectiveness of helping children develop character and life skills through resilience and parental relationships. Even though insurance and government funding does not provide for monetary support of the program, Project SAVE has begun networking with other organizations  to ensure that youth and their families receive on-going support after exiting our program. As a community based project, our mission is to provide preventative services that alleviate the academic achievement gap and the destruction of substance abuse dependency through the provision of the following components:

 Community Outreach

         Individual and Group Counseling

Substance Abuse Education, Prevention, and Intervention

         Youth Mentoring

       Academic Enrichment and Intervention

    Parent Education and Support

Our Philosophy:

Children are what they are taught to be.  Educating requires one to model, teach, empower, and intervene.
