We Provide Free Tutoring Services to Ensure that No Child is Left Behind!

No Child Left Behind is a federally funded program that provides free supplemental educational services (academic tutoring) to qualified students.  Students who attend Title I schools and receive free or reduced lunch are eligible.  Eligible schools have not met the state minimum AYP (adequate yearly progress) requirements.  We encourage parents to check with the school their child attends to verify if their school qualifies for free tutorial services.  Click below for the federal government's website containing information about this program at  www.nochildleftbehind.gov . For more information, please contact Nikisha Jackson at 469-939-4457 or your child's school.

A Description of Our Services:

WREM Literacy Group, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization.  WREM’s program is designed to supplement a child's classroom academics, helping them to master the basics, while sharpening their academic skills. Through WREM Literacy Group, Inc.’s program, the student will develop self-discipline, focus, and ability, as he/she progresses through the program. At WREM our main focus is to help children become successful, lifelong learners. We administer diagnostic tests for each student. This allows us to identify each child’s skills compared to their grade level expectations according to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Each student then receives an individualized lesson plan, which focuses on the specific academic needs of the child. Certified teachers work with each child’s teachers and the district curriculum to conduct 1:1 tutoring  in all subjects and we also offer on-level strategies for Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) testing. WREM provides progress reports at three-week intervals and monthly parent conferences, as well as flexible scheduling. At WREM we believe that all students learn differently so we offer differentiated teaching strategies that are structured for students who learn through hands-on, visual or auditory activities including activities for students who are English as a Second Language (ESL) learners. We strive to make sure that educational assistance is available to the entire community. We ensure that our model of instruction promotes a student's confidence in his or her abilities to successfully progess.

We Do Things the KUMON Way!

WREM uses tutoring methods that are highly effective and research based. Data has been gathered and published throughout the years and pretest/posttest comparisons have shown significant gains in student performance. Results of this data have been documented nationally. In Texas, schools that utilized KUMON program materials were able to raise their scores from below the state average to above the state average.

All materials and instructional methods are backed by highly respected academic research. KUMON-Started 50 years ago, Kumon students can perform 100% of their potential. On January 8, 2000-Kumon North America, the largest source of supplemental education in math and reading had been ranked #16 overall, and #1 in the tutoring category by Entrepreneur Magazine. The founders of Gideon Learning modeled Kumon by developing a math and reading program where students would develop to their full potential, be more responsible for their own learning and they could strengthen independent thinking skills.
